AI & Process Automation Intern - PAID - $5000 MXN/MNTH

At Cabo Seguros, we currently run our operations with Excel,WhatsApp and email — and it works. But there are tasks that repeat every single day: capturing client data, following up with prospects, sending billing reminders, drafting communications. We want AI to handle that heavy lifting. The intern will be the first person to bring artificial intelligence into our operation. Working directly alongside the team, they will map how we do things today, identify what can be automated or simplified, and build the concrete tools that make it happen — prompts, templates, workflows, and simple assistants that any team member can use without needing technical knowledge. The team brings business and client knowledge. The intern brings the tech expertise. The exchange goes both ways.

Social Media Intern - $5000/mnth
  • Duration: Minimum 4 weeks — summer or winter break, based on student availability

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 2pm

  • 25 hours per week

  • Remote/onsite: hybrid minimum 3 days on-site, 1–2 days remote (flexible)

  • Performance bonus at the end of the internship + transportation support + reference letter (based on performance)

key responsibilities

Map repetitive tasks across client data capture, prospect follow-up, and billing — and identify where AI or automation can help.

  • Build a shared prompt and template library for common tasks: follow-up emails, renewal reminders, client summaries, billing messages

  • Set up simple automations connecting the tools we already use — email, Excel or Google Sheets, WhatsApp Business.

  • Research and test AI tools that fit a small insurance office: affordable, easy to adopt, and practical for daily use.

  • Build a basic AI assistant for a recurring task — such as prospect follow-up or renewal reminders.

  • Document everything clearly so the team can use it independently after the internship ends.

Skills & Requirements

What you need:

  • Daily user of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar — not as an occasional user, but as someone who already integrates them into daily work.

  • Strong written communication: prompt engineering is mostly writing clearly and specifically.

  • Solid Excel skills — the team works in it daily and needs help getting more from it.

Can explain technical ideas in plain language to non-technical people

Bonus — not required, but welcome:

  • Experience building custom GPTs or AI-powered assistants.

  • Familiarity with automation platforms or basic CRM tools.

What we're looking for in you:

  • Independent in technical matters — you will be the AI reference for the team. You will have weekly check-ins and progress reviews, but guidance will come from the business side, not the technology side.

  • Organized and discreet — we work with real clients' financial information.

  • Proactive and committed — if you spot something that can be improved, you say so.

  • Curious, experimental, good at writing clearly, comfortable with ambiguity, self-directed, willing to ask questions, and able to explain technical ideas in plain language.

We don't expect you to know anything about insurance — we'll teach you the business.

Any field of study is welcome as long as you have real command of AI tools and genuine interest in applying them to business processes.

What students will gain
  • Real applied experience: you'll be the first person to bring AI into a live financial services operation — prompts, automations, and assistants that actually get used.

  • Industry exposure: an inside look at insurance and financial services — prospecting, billing, risk management, and client relationships in practice.

  • Business mentorship: weekly check-ins and progress reviews with advisors who have 10+ years in the field. You learn the business; they learn to work with AI.

  • Portfolio deliverables: prompt libraries, automation workflows, and documented processes — concrete evidence of what you built.

  • Stipend + performance bonus + transportation + reference letter upon succesful completion of the internship.

What students will gain
  • Fields of interest: Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Technology, Business Administration, Finance— or any field where the student has shown independent interest in AI and automation.

  • Desired qualities: curious, experimental, organized, proactive, committed, , willing to ask questions , self-directed — with a genuine interest in solving real problems through technology.
