Our vision

The vision of the Monarch Effect Foundation is to make a major contribution to the economic and social development of Los Cabos and by virtue, Mexico, by helping to build a young professional and technical class and aligning the vision, values, and commitment amongst our parents and students, donors and mentors. We know it takes a tribe. We are your tribe.

yOur commitment

Students and parents sign a commitment to the foundation for a "return of service obligation". This includes: maintaining a standard of academic excellence, maintaining the standards and values of the foundation and your educational institute, setting an example as a role model and ambassador, mentoring and influencing other students, engaging in volunteer work in the community, participating in and helping to build the foundation programs, workshops and events. acting as an ambassador on social media.

Students commit to supporting the foundation post graduation with donations to our sustainability fund

Interested students should send us an email about why the College Prep Mentoring Program is of interest to you and describing your aspirations for future education. Tell us why you are a serious candidate for our program and how you think mentoring will affect your path. Suitable for grades 11 and 12 or students transitioning to higher education.

Cost is $1200 MX for each semester

Apply for College Prep Mentoring Program

need financial assistance to fulfill your education dreams? make your application

  • A certificate or letter to indicate a sufficient level of English

  • Grades summary of current academic level (average 8.5 min)

  • Copies of transcripts/diplomas

  • Confirm your passport (if travel is required)

  • Financial/Income statement from the responsible legal guardian or parents

  • Two letters of recommendation (teacher/job/volunteer reference)

  • Financial requirements – include budget for 2 semesters of study

  • CV (Curriculum Vitae)/resume/video

  • Motivational letter, a minimum of 4,000 characters explaining the following:

  1. Why did you decide to apply?

  2. What makes you a serious candidate?

  3. Background

  4. What are your school and career plans?

  5. What do you expect from this program?

  6. Give us a good reason to help you.
