Hello, my name is Andrey. Since I was little I discovered my passion for business and entrepreneurship, my parents always supported me in my journey. That is why for me, the choice of ā€œwhat am I going to studyā€ wasn't really a question.

I am very dedicated and focused on achieving every goal that I set myself. And when I learned about the Monarch Effect Foundation I knew that joining them would take me to the right path to achieve those goals. I'm really grateful for the opportunity that the foundation has given me, and I’m really excited to continue this journey.

Summer 2025

This summer was incredible. I came back to Cabo with the purpose of reconnecting with the activities I love and can’t do while at university, but without neglecting the habits and routines I’ve built over time.

I won’t lie, I did take a few days to sleep without an alarm. It had been a long time since I woke up whenever I wanted, and it truly felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders.

I got back into mountain biking, practiced skimboarding again, and continued with track and field, this time running longer distances to prepare for the upcoming semester. What I consider most important is that I also kept studying topics that interest me. As I’ve said before, business is my passion; reading, understanding, and seeing how those concepts apply in real life excites me deeply.

I also worked for a few weeks. Even though the job was tiring and the heat was intense, I ended up enjoying it. I believe that in every moment, even the hardest ones, there are always things we can reflect on and be grateful for.

I love coming back to Cabo, seeing my family, my dog, and going to the beach. And even though summer flew by, I enjoyed it to the fullest. Goodbyes never feel easy, but I always keep in mind the dreams I want to achieve and the goals I want to reach. I know that by studying here and with the support of Monarch Effect, every day I’m getting closer to making them a reality.

June 2025

From the beginning of the month, I was already feeling excited. My team and I were just a week away from presenting our final project, and I had a feeling it would be one of the best in the class, and it was. Our project and presentation were among the top, and because of that, the professor gave us a perfect score (10) for the class module. My last week of classes was great too. All my subjects ended on a positive note, and I celebrated the end of the semester with the track team with cake.

For me, the semester flew by, but I really enjoyed it. And even though I was super excited about going back to Cabo, I also felt a bit nostalgic about how fast everything went. I can’t wait to experience everything the next semester will bring.I returned to Cabo on June 14th. I was so happy and excited to see my family, my dog, and my friends again. When I arrived, the heat really caught me off guard, but what I definitely didn’t miss was the humidity. For the rest of my break, I plan to enjoy it to the fullest: spending time with my family and friends, and enjoying my mom’s cooking, because that’s one of the things I miss the most while I’m at university.

May 2025

May has been a bit of a heavy month. My workload increased significantly compared to the last few months, as final exams and projects are getting closer. Still, it’s been a fun month, outings with friends, meaningful conversations with interesting people, and progress toward my long-term goals.

The most memorable moments this month have come from time spent with my friends. After knowing each other for years, our connection is amazing. They’re also focused on their future goals, and I really enjoy having deep conversations with people who share that mindset.

Another highlight this month was my visit to Oracle. It blew me away, in the best way possible. It’s a massive company; honestly, it’s hard to grasp just how big it is. But what impressed me most is that it represents everything I’d love to build one day, a company that innovates, moves the world forward, and sets a standard in its field ( in this case, tech) but that also keeps a flexible and friendly work culture where people are truly proud to work.

Every employee I spoke to was thrilled to be there. That’s exactly what I want to create someday, a company that’s not only the best at what it does but also has an environment of freedom and unity, where employees see each other as family, not just coworkers.

April 2025

Hello, readers!

I hope you're all doing well. If I had to sum up this month in one word, it would be ā€œunpredictable.ā€ It was a month full of assignments, laughter, and great stories.

The month started with business conferences. The first one I attended was about international trade. The talk was interesting, but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for, since it only focused on the role of customs at airports. The second conference was about the legal aspects of entrepreneurship. I really enjoyed that session because it was a small group, so the attention felt very personal. The last conference I went to was by Michelle Greicha (President of DIF Zapopan), whom I’ve mentioned before. Her talk was about service and the importance of helping others.

In the middle of the month, I had a week off for Easter break. I went back to Cabo and had a great time seeing my family, friends, and all the places I love so much. The interesting part was the return flight — it was overbooked, and they gave me two options: fly the next day and arrive in Guadalajara at 7 p.m. (meaning I’d miss class), or leave that same day at 7 p.m., fly to Tijuana, and connect to a flight to Guadalajara at 2 a.m., arriving at 6 a.m. I chose the second option, and even though I was exhausted, I didn’t miss class — I barely made it in time.

Once back in Guadalajara, I went to a conference by YouTuber Moris Dieck. Honestly, it was one of the best talks I’ve ever heard. He’s someone I really admire, and for me, he’s a role model. I aspire to one day be on that stage and speak with the same confidence and charisma he has.

These last few weeks of classes have been a bit tough — lots of assignments, projects, and tasks.

I want to close with this:

Mistakes will always happen. Things won’t always go perfectly. But what matters is to keep your head held high, learn from your mistakes, and always give 100%. Because if achieving your goals were easy, everyone would do it.

March 2025

March went by really fast, but I enjoyed it. I'm still getting used to the different lifestyle and adapting to this different routine. I have done some things to spice up my routine and also to meet entrepreneurs, for example going to networking events and business conferences.

This has helped me to expand my horizons, on knowledge, ideas and people. I always try to do things that get me closer to my dream, and this month has been very productive. With the people that I’ve met and the perspective that they gave me I have been reflecting on a lot of things, I know that with effort and hard work I’ll be there sooner than later.

January and February 2025

These past few weeks have been chaotic but incredibly enjoyable. My mom and I flew to Guadalajara to find an apartment, searching until I found a place where I felt comfortable and that was close to my school. As of writing this, five days have passed since I moved to Guadalajara. I’m now living in a house with three other students. Thankfully, I live close to my school, and my roommates seem nice. I hope they’ll help me adapt to this new city.

On February 10th, I start my first day of university. I’m both excited and a bit nervous about joining a new school, but I’m determined to make the most of it. I thrive on challenges, and if I don’t find them, I create them. I divide my challenges into two categories: professional and personal. Professionally, depending on how things go, I’d like to either find a job related to my career (if my class schedule allows) or continue with my entrepreneurship project that I had on Cabo. Personally, I’m working on developing new habits, like reading consistently, which is going fairly well but still needs improvement. Another personal challenge is training for and eventually competing in an Ironman. My first step toward that goal is to start running. Of course, all of these challenges come with the commitment to maintaining high grades.

Additionally, my birthday is on February 13th! I don’t have any plans yet, but I’m sure I’ll find something to do. Lastly, I’m incredibly happy and grateful to be the newest ambassador of the Monarch Effect Foundation. I’m excited for what’s ahead!
