Connecting with Our Monarch Ambassadors

Hello, reader! In this chapter of our “This Week at College Prep Mentoring” series, we had the opportunity to connect with our Monarch Ambassadors: Marco, Kendra, Fridha, Andrey, and Samara. These students have taken an important step toward achieving their academic and personal goals by continuing their education and embracing new opportunities.

During this session, the ambassadors shared their experiences living away from home and adjusting to college life. They spoke about the challenges of choosing a major, learning how to stay safe and independent in a new environment, and building meaningful friendships. Listening to their stories reminded us that it is normal to feel uncertain at times, and that growth often comes from stepping outside our comfort zones.

Hearing directly from students who are already navigating this journey was both encouraging and inspiring. Their experiences showed that although the transition to college can feel overwhelming, it is also a time of discovery, resilience, and personal development.
