I have always been a very curious person, eager to explore new things and learn, and I’ve discovered the value of working hard for what I want in order to build a better future for myself and for those around me. When I realized that the education I was receiving wasn’t enough, I began applying for scholarships at schools with strong academic excellence. However, the cost was still a challenge for my mom, who has raised me on her own.
Today, thanks to Monarca’s support, I am fulfilling my dream of studying Strategic Marketing at Universidad Anáhuac Campus Sur, where I received an 80% excellence scholarship. I am currently taking advantage of all the opportunities the university offers: I am part of the Student Society as the Academic Development Coordinator, and I participate in the social action group.
I know I still have a long journey ahead of me and much to learn, but I am excited for what’s coming, confident that I won’t be alone along the way.

February 2026
“For the first, only, and last time”....Hello readers!!! Have you ever stopped to think that everything in our lives is experienced a first, only, and last time? No matter how much we want to repeat something, it will never be exactly the same again. Lately, I’ve been reflecting more on this and on how important it is to stay in the present, making the most of every moment that comes our way. I had been feeling very scattered, like my mind was in too many places at once. Even my friends mentioned that they had noticed I seemed very rushed. That’s when I realized that I need to learn to stay connected to what’s happening and focus on what I have to do.
Considering that my midterms start at the end of February, it’s something that makes me nervous, but I feel very confident in myself because I’ve been studying enough. Do I feel overwhelmed? I have to admit that I do, but I need to stay calm and focused for this moment. I’ve been reading a book that I’ve really enjoyed by Marian Rojas Estapé called “Como hacer que te pasen cosas buenas”, which has become my time to connect with myself and disconnect from everything else.
February flew by; it passed in the blink of an eye. I think it was because I kept myself very busy. Even so, it was something I truly enjoyed. Thank you for reading a little about me. See you next month!
January 2026
Hi readers!!! How did your year start? I hope it started really well, just like mine. I’m going to tell you a little about how this month went.
Let’s start with the first days of the year, when I was still with my mom, enjoying time with her before she went back to Los Cabos. Those days were very cold and cloudy all day long. I have to admit that I’m still not used to the unpredictable weather in Mexico City: sometimes it’s hot, then cold, or it suddenly starts raining.
A few days later, I had to say goodbye to my mom, and even though it hurts, I feel like it’s quite easy for me to adjust again. We also went back to the routine of school. My schedule ended up being a bit heavy; almost every day I have classes from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm without breaks or time to eat, so I have to take advantage of any free moment I get.
Since I’m part of the Marketing Student Society, I came to school a few days earlier to welcome the new Marketing students. We guided them through the process, gave them a tour of the university, presented information about the major, helped them enroll in their classes, and organized integration activities, among other things. I honestly really enjoyed being part of that.
One exciting piece of news is that in April the campaigns will begin to choose the new student society representatives. I was invited to be part of the board of ADEFA, which is for out-of-town and exchange students, as a candidate for General Coordinator. Right now, we’re planning our proposals, gathering team members, and contacting potential sponsors. It looks like we’ll have some competition, so in April I’ll let you know if we win!!!
Thank you so much for reading about my month. See you in February to update you on how things are going. I feel ready for all the new things coming my way. See you next month!!
December 2025
Hello blog!! How are you? I hope you’re doing very well, just like me. December was a more relaxed month compared to other times, although it still started off being stressful since at the beginning of December I was still dealing with final exams. The hardest ones were already over, but I was still studying a lot for the exams I had left.
I can say that in most of my classes I did excellent; the only one that didn’t go as well was accounting. I found the exam very difficult and didn’t get the results I was expecting.
After finishing all our exams and final projects, I made plans with my friends to go to the National Museum of Art. It was beautiful!!! I hadn’t gone to a museum during the time I’ve been studying here, and it made me really happy that I finally took the time to visit one.
Shortly after that, the president of the marketing society reached out to me with a proposal that really excited me and made me reflect. She told me that she would like to nominate me to run as president for the next academic year, from August 2026 to June 2027. However, the campaigns start as early as March 2026.
Without a doubt, it’s something I would love to do and it makes me very happy that they thought of me as a candidate. However, being a first-year student, I still don’t fully understand how things work within the student society. Right now, I need to focus on my studies and achieve the best possible GPA so I don’t lose my scholarship. Even though it’s a proposal I would love to accept, I feel that this is not the right moment for me to take on such a big responsibility and manage all the marketing events. This year, I plan to learn as much as possible so that in the future I can run as part of the marketing board.
Now I’m focusing on organizing my schedule for this new semester, reviewing my classes and studying a bit before the semester starts, as well as practicing my English and working on my winter project.
I spent the holidays in Mexico City with my mom, surrounded by my family and people I love. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
November 2025
Hello Blog!!! For me, November was divided into two sections. The first part was very calm, peaceful, and even serene; but the other part was stressful and hectic, filled with projects and final exams.
But let’s start with the calm part. I want to tell you that I had the opportunity to attend “Advertising Week LATAM,” one of the most important marketing and advertising conferences in Latin America. It brings together the most influential people in the industry. There were many brand activations where you could interact, play, and even receive gifts to generate more engagement. Plus, there were many super interesting conferences about current topics in advertising, digital marketing, and social media. Without a doubt, it was a fascinating experience.
I also want to share about a book I read this month that I really liked, called “Your Life, Your Best Business.” It left me reflecting on several important topics, especially on how we make decisions, manage our time, and understand our own value.
In mid-to-late November, I started with final exams and projects, and this time I truly felt how heavy it all was. They even assigned up to four different types of evaluations per subject!!! Fortunately, I did excellent on most of them. My favorite project—the one I found very different and fun—was for a marketing class, where we had to analyze the board game market, identify existing needs, and understand why people barely play anymore. Based on our primary and secondary research, we had to select a segment and create or innovate a board game. We had a specific day to do the game activation, and before that we had to implement communication and promotion strategies, among other things. We did super well on the project, we were the only team that got a 10. Even though it was stressful, I really enjoyed it.
October 2025
Hello!! October was a very different month, as I am feeling more adapted to this new stage. I still feel very excited still but things do not seem as new as before and I am liking that.
In this month so many things happened that I felt it passed very fast. At the beginning of October we started the midterm evaluations. I was nervous because it is the first time I have these evaluations, exams and projects, so I did not know what I was going to find. Fortunately I did well although I struggled a lot with accounting. There was a project in the Marketing Workshop class that I liked a lot, where we had to do surveys, interviews with different generations and a focus group, and according to the answers we obtained, we had to make a general analysis to create a new board game that meets the needs of the group we are directing to.
I also had the opportunity to attend conferences like taxes, transforming ideas into real changes, and the marketing behind Bioparque.
Finally, what excited me the most!!! A trip to Michoacán was organized to know more about the experiences of different CEOs and the work behind their success, we went to a ranch in Contepec, where they gave us talks about personal finances, the importance of social-emotional intelligence, critical thinking, the financial accounting lead from Google came, the Senior Director LATAM shared services in Pepsico, the director of controlling in Televisa and some others; it was very interesting to listen to these people with such a long trajectory, and being able to talk personally with them made me think about things in which I would like to develop a little more. Also, this trip helped me to meet many more people from my university, I am very happy to have been able to do this trip, because I was very close to not going, but thanks to the help of Monarca I was able to pay this trip and live this incredible experience, even though I am getting used to this new life, many new things still happen that wake up my curiosity and the enthusiasm I have inside, thank you very much for reading my blog, see you next month!!!
September 2025
September was a very good month, one that helped me get used to everything new. I still feel the excitement as if it were the first few days. I got to know my classmates and teachers better, and I’ve been adapting more to the classes.
I found out that there’s a student society in charge of organizing activities, managing budgets, coordinating projects, and other responsibilities. I decided to go through the process to join, which included interviews and tests. A few days later, they announced the results, and I was thrilled to learn that I was chosen as the “Coordinator of Academic Development.” My role is to keep track of how students are doing academically, reach out to them if they’re struggling, and connect them with the program coordinator. I’ll also meet biweekly with the coordinator to understand how the program works, follow up on my tasks for approval, organize academic events with other coordinators, and monitor academic support programs. I don’t do everything alone — I have help from the secretaries in my area, and sometimes we work together with the other coordinators.
In mid-September, the president of my program asked me to help with some presentations. I was surprised since I’m only a first-semester student and there are others with more experience, but I accepted without hesitation. I ended up participating in three conferences as the master of ceremonies, welcoming the guest speakers.
During the last week of September, my mom came to Mexico City!! I was so happy to see her — I really missed her. The reason for her visit was that we had an appointment at the Spanish consulate to apply for Spanish citizenship. Fortunately, everything went well, and all our documents were accepted. Now we just have to wait about a year to receive dual citizenship.
I’m very happy with how my first semester has started and grateful for all the opportunities I’ve been given. From here on, it’s all about moving forward and giving my best.
Summer 2025
This summer was full of many mixed emotions. On July 3rd, I went to La Paz for the State Science expo contest, where we won Best Project in the Medicine and Health area and also earned a spot at the National competition in Tamaulipas. On July 5th was my graduation ceremony was held, and I received an award for having the second-highest GPA of my generation. On July 7th, I started an online math course, Monday to Friday, three hours a day, and at the beginning of Augus,t I set out on my journey for this new stage of my life, arriving in Mexico City on August 3rd and saying goodbye to the people I love who stayed in Cabo—though honestly, my excitement was much greater. On August 7th, I had my first day at university, which was the welcome event for new students. They gave us all the introductory information, and I was so happy; everything felt so exciting and new. I’ve now been in classes for two weeks, and I feel like this is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’m very grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given—without MEF I wouldn’t be here today. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m sure the best is yet to come.
June 2025
June felt like a roller coaster, where everything happened, and I thought it would be more relaxing—but I was wrong.
First of all, I was welcomed to MEF!!! This was something really different and exciting for me. They welcomed the new ambassadors and explained how the program works. Honestly, I’m a bit nervous, but also excited for everything that’s coming.
At the beginning of June, I was planning and working on my summer project while still doing school projects. I was worried that my summer project wouldn’t go as expected, but luckily, everything turned out well.
In the middle of June, I had my last day of high school. I said goodbye to my classmates and teachers.
Even though school had finished academically, I still had to go with my teammates to finish our "Expociensas" project for the state-level competition, which will take place on July 2. This project wasn’t organized by the school, but we wanted to enter the contest.
The hardest part was my dance academy graduation. They organize a festival where we perform, and those of us who are graduating get a small spotlight. I worked so hard this last month to make everything perfect, and when it was over, I couldn’t hold back my tears. It was my last time dancing on stage with my friends, and with that, a stage of my life came to an end.
