Personality Assesment
Hello, reader! My name is Fernanda, and I have been working in Monarch Effect Foundationâs college prep program throughout this semester. During the year, we have had many valuable lessons with many teachers and professionals, two of which personally stuck with me.
One of the first activities we completed during the course was a personality assessmentâ assigned by Silvia Sieckâ in which we not only took the test, but also analysed and discussed the results that we got. I, as a creative person, expected to get the âperfectionistâ personality type; while I was partly correct, the test suggested that my personality was more closely aligned with the âloyalâ type. While that test itself isnât a complete tell on what kind of person I am, it left me questioning how well I truly knew myself.
Fortunately, we later covered a lesson about self-discovery and exploring possible career paths. Up until the beginning of the course, I was positive I wanted to pursue a career in animation, but after a lot of reflection (and research), I came to the conclusion that game art would be a much better fit. While I had explored other possibilities in my own time, Denise MagaĂąaâs lesson served as a great reinforcement for my decision.
Over all, I can confidently say that my experience in the program has been incredibly helpful, and I have received a lot of support from the teachers and peers participating in it. I only wish it could have started sooner so that I could have really made the most out of the lessons it offers!
